A grain of wheat—qamha in Arabic—grown in the rich red earth of the flatlands of Palestine represents food in its most simple form.
We founded Qamha in 2018 in Nablus to create traditional Palestinian products that are nourishing, delicious, and authentic tasting just as our ancestors made them. Some of the world’s most important traditions took root here in the Mediterranean basin, in this holy land.
Our products are made of simple ingredients grown by farmers in the West Bank, using techniques that support them and the earth. Our commitment to preserving this heritage and way of life is reflected in everything we do—from partnering with Palestinian growers, to employing and empowering rural women to produce and market delectable, quality foods. We are equally committed to using ethical and environmentally conscious production methods and only recyclable packaging.
Qamha began as only a kernel of an idea, packed with potential. We wanted to produce and market the foods that we love, healthy staples grown in the rich earth of the Mediterranean basin.
We wanted to support small farmers and producers—especially women—fairly and sustainably while opening up new markets to quality, nutritious Palestinian products. We sought to reach those consumers around the world that want ethically produced, environmentally sustainable products—delicious foods that also nourish the communities that make them.
Palestine’s traditional foods are full of nutrients and recall the earliest food traditions—grains of wheat roasted on a fire, ground thyme mixed with olive oil, and vegetables pickled to brighten meals during the chilly, rainy winter.
